Dematorin was a drug that acted like a tranquilizer, making those who consumed it mellow and compliant, while also sharing a few components with ecstasy.
History
In 1997, Ted Buchanan used Dematorin by lacing it in his cookies and feeding it to Joyce Summers, Willow Rosenberg and Alexander Harris in order to gain their trust. Willow was able to identify the drug after analyzing a cookie in the school lab, noticing Xander's relaxed behavior while eating it despite his previous worries on Buffy Summers being accused of Ted's supposed murder.[1]
