- “Now I'm pretty sure I'm strong enough to beat you to death.”
- ―Willow Rosenberg[src]
"Da mihi vim," Latin for "give me strength,"[1] was the incantation for a spell that granted the caster enhanced strength. Willow Rosenberg cast the spell when she was corrupted with dark magic and she challenged the Slayer for a hand-to-hand fight.[2]
History
As Willow materialized inside the Magic Box with Buffy and Dawn in tow, she finally found her targets: Jonathan and Andrew. She tried to finish them off with blasts of mystical energies, but Anya was casting a protection spell over them outside of Willow's line of sight. The boys tried to run away, to no avail, so they held on to two swords in attempt to defend themselves. Willow acknowledged the magics protecting them so she chanted "da mihi vim," casting the strengthening spell over herself.[2]

As Willow said the words, energy gathered around her hands and crackled from them. Soon enough, she was strong enough to flip a table away with one hand. However, her targets narrowly escaped with Xander and Dawn, which left her to deal with Buffy. Willow was able to go toe-to-toe with the Slayer with this spell and knocked a defenseless Anya out the moment she found her.[2]
