Kimi Bytes, "A Cold Start"
Kimi Henderson Bytes is the main protagonist of Boot-Up. She is a fun goofball that enjoys trying new things and spending time with her girlfriend Tera.
History
Background
Kimi was born on Earth on August 12, 2002, where she once resided in a house in Chicago. She is the daughter of the Oni Slayer, Ally Bytes, and her husband John Bytes. Currently, she resides in an apartment complex called Monolokio with her little sister Alkaline Bytes and her pet axolotl called Ha-Z3L.
Boot-Up
"Origins"
At the age of two, Kimi had unexpectedly been informed by Ally, after hearing of unidentified forces landing on Earth in the news, that she is to be set off to outer space to live in the Multi-PleXelverse, where she's promised safety from the attacks. Ally explains that she and John had encountered a breed of intelligent sharks and demons, specifically Lara the Orca Demoness and Richard MacGuffin, an encounter which resulted in John never being seen again; Ally is determined to keep Kimi from meeting John's uncertain fate.
Kimi and Alkaline would land in the Multi-PleXelverse 18 years later. There, she meets Tera Plexo, with whom she forms a relationship.
“A Cold Start”
It is established through flashback that Kimi has been granted with PC Powers, allowing her to materialise weapons which are activated through a computer interface in her brain. These powers are the most powerful to be had in the Multi-PleXelverse and can be used to alter the world in a massive scale, which makes her a target to Croctra and his minions. Kimi achieved PC Powers after a defective copy of The Doinks! Smack & Dash causes her computer to crash and zap her.
While confused at first, she quickly embraces these powers after explaining how she obtained them to Tera in the WiFood restaurant. Kimi later shares a glass of Korg Soda with her, asks her about her fox tail and points out Slush Alexander’s obsession with ice. He eventually gets kidnapped by Croctra, who does this to lure her into lending her powers. Kimi follows the truck holding Slush and engages in battle with Croctra. He badly wounds her in the forehead during the fight, when Tera knocks him down to protect her. Kimi, Tera and Slush jump out of the truck, returning to Monolokio where they meet Samantha Stockington, who asks them to train her to become a warrior like Ally. Finally, Kimi blows Tera a kiss.

Physical description
Kimi is a young fair-skinned woman with chin-length auburn hair that's long, spiky and unkempt. Her tongue is blue, a side-effect of her PC Powers. Her main outfit consists of a red shirt donning her symbol in white print -- a white spiral with lines circling it -- with black sleeves over a long-sleeved blue undershirt. She also wears black jeans and a pair of black flat shoes with grey soles.
Personality
Kimi is a kind, funny and heartwarming person to hang around with, but she is determined to protect her friends and family members from the evil clutches of Croctra and his minions.
Relationships
Tera Plexo
Kimi first met Tera as she arrived at the Multi-Plexelverse, they originally started off as friends but as they began talking and meeting each other more, their love became stronger as they wouldn't ever imagine each other being split apart.
Slush Alexander
Kimi met Slush while entering into Monolokio, Kimi liked how Slush fighting with the Fridge that she started cheering Slush on and even started giggling. They later became great friends.
Croctra MacGuffin
Kimi learned about Croctra from her mother. Since she knew that Croctra came from the Demon World, Kimi tends fight back against Croctra in order to save her world. Little does she know that her feelings may change in the future.

Trivia
- She originally was designed as a fusion between Demencia from the Cartoon Network series Villainous and Star Butterfly from the Disney Channel series Star vs. the Forces of Evil. However, overtime her design took a drastic change to become more of an original character.[1]
- Her symbol was loosely based on the “Helios” symbol.[2]
- Booping Kimi's nose puts her to sleep mode.
