Personal Action

A Personal Action[1][2], alternately referred to as a Special Power in the SNES release of Breath of Fire II[3], is the individualized action that can be performed by certain playable characters in non-combat situations. In the original Breath of Fire and Breath of Fire II, they can be used on either the field screen or the overworld, depending on the character. In Breath of Fire III and IV they are used exclusively in the field screen.
