Menu

The Menu is a recurring gameplay feature within the Breath of Fire series. Similar to many other role playing video games, it serves as a hub where the player can perform various commands related to the party's maintenance, such as using items and spells, checking party member status, or viewing and changing their equipment. The menu may be accessed from the field screen or World Map by pressing assigned button and commands are selected from a navigable list the player may move across with the D-pad controlled cursor. Unlike many of the Breath of Fire series contemporaries, the option to save the game is not included in the menu screen, rather this must be done via other means such as camping or visiting dragon shrines. The menu can be exited out of with the cancel button.
