Story
Upon arriving at the Endsector Lift, Bosch and two soldiers emerge from the lift. Bosch informs Ryu that he was under orders to eliminate the cargo, who turns out to be Nina. As Ryu asks for expanation, Bosch ruthlessly stabs Ryu for getting in his way. With the power granted by Odjn, Ryu survived the otherwise fatal wounds, and lashes out in his dragon form.
Strategy
The party will face off against Bosch, a Gunner Sgt and a Battler Sgt. This battle is meant to introduce the player to Ryu's dragon form and demonstrating its power. It's an easy fight with Ryu able to easily take out all foes by himself taking little or no damage.
However, this is also the only opportunity to steal the Fang skill. Ryu cannot use shield skills in his dragon form, so it's up to his allies to steal. Lin is the better choice because she is more durable and Nina is less likely to have a shield with an empty slot during the early stages of the game. Kill Bosch's men first so they will not get in the way. Bosch will prioritize on attacking Ryu over Lin and Nina. However, if Ryu is out of range, Bosch will instead attack the other characters if they happen to be in the way. After successfully stealing, Ryu can maul him with one Twister.
