Land

Land is the space on the map where land towers can be placed. Most towers can be placed on land, except the Monkey Buccaneer, the Monkey Sub or the Pontoon in (unless a Portable Lake is used). There is an aquatic-only counterpart of land called water.

For BTD6, in order to place land towers on water, the player must place them on top of a Pontoon, a Carrier Flagship, a Navarch of the Seas or in the range of a Arctic Wind, Snowstorm or Absolute Zero Ice Monkey.

Land also describes areas of the map where towers can be placed at all, the opposite being unplaceable land. Counterparts include terrestrial land (or just "land"), water, and lava.
