Naruki City (鳴木市, Naruki-shi; lit. Echoing Tree City) is a city which borders the west of Karakura Town.[1]
Overview
Naruki City is under the jurisdiction of the 10th Division.[2]
Xcution's headquarters are located in the Chōbara district of Naruki City.[3] Ichigo's friends Keigo Asano and Mizuiro Kojima also live in this city.[4][1]
History
Over 20 years ago, Sōsuke Aizen and his accomplices conducted Hollowfication experiments in this city, killing many of the Shinigami stationed there.[5] Due to their influence however, all traces of their involvement was covered up, which brought the 10th Division captain, Isshin Shiba, to intervene personally.[6][7] His battle with White, the Hollow who was responsible for the murders there, eventually led to his encounter with the Quincy, Masaki Kurosaki.[8]
At some point in time after these events, Kūgo Ginjō decided to create his base of operations in this city.
