Vohtarak were one of the six Visorak breeds.
History
Vohtarak were created by Chirox on the island south of Nynrah. His newly created Visorak were then unleashed upon a small village. After they conquered, the island was renamed Visorak.
During Kojol's raid on Artakha, the Visorak army he had assembled was vaporized by Crystal Serpents.
Sidorak was later placed in command of the Visorak swarms after taking credit for the mutation of the Toa Hagah. Roodaka was also given a place of power, but was still under Sidorak.
A telepathic message from Teridax told Sidorak and Roodaka to bring the swarms to Metru Nui, where they conquered the city.
When the Toa Metru returned to Metru Nui, they were captured and taken to the Coliseum. They were then mutated into half-Rahi versions of themselves when they were injected with Visorak venom. When the Toa Hordika escaped, Sidorak built a tower and was going to kill Whenua and Bomonga when the rest of the Hordika, Rahaga, a Tahtorak, and Krahka attacked; the assault ultimately ended in success, but not before the Tahtorak, Krahka, and a Zivon were teleported to the Zone of Darkness, and several Visorak were killed. After Vakama gave in to the Visorak's venom, he went to the Coliseum, where Sidorak accepted him and gave him command of the horde.
During the battle for the Coliseum, Roodaka allowed Sidorak to be killed by Keetongu, giving her overall command of the Visorak. However, Vakama had turned back to the Toa's side, and commanded the spider Rahi to be freed.
Turaga Dume, the Rahaga, and Keetongu later defeated a group of Visorak that invaded Metru Nui.
All Vohtarak later traveled to Artidax, summoned by a call from the Heart of the Visorak. They then became extinct, along with the other Visorak breeds, when the island's volcano erupted.
When Teridax took over the Universe, he recreated the breed along with the other Visorak. After Makuta's death, the Visorak became a wild species.
Abilities and Traits
Vohtarak were very loyal to Sidorak. They were incredibly aggressive, preferring to wildly charge and launch Rhotuka spinners. While they were unable to control fire, they had a natural resistance to heat and had spinners capable of causing a great burning pain in their targets - so powerful that the victims were unable to concentrate on anything else. The Vohtarak were also able to make "berserker charges", during which their outer shells become almost impervious to harm. Because of this, Sidorak used Vohtarak as shock troops for large attacks.
