Ko-Metru (Ice District or Ice City in Matoran) was the one of the six Metru in Metru Nui.
History
It was absolutely silent, also called the 'Quiet Metru'. The Vahki were Keerakh. The dominant building of the city was a massive complex of Knowledge Towers at the heart of Ko-Metru. The work was taken so seriously that if one was to disturb the silence in the Towers, it would attract the attention of the Vahki. It was within these towers that Ko-Matoran examined for days on many puzzling concepts, such as the studying of the stars above. The Ko-Matoran were obsessed with the future, always looking to the stars for clues. The Rahi in this Metru, for example, would be Ice Bats and Frost Beetles. Unfortunately, many of the great Knowledge Towers were toppled when the Great Cataclysm struck Metru Nui after Teridax's initial defeat.
With the Matoran finally returned, Ko-Metru was slowly rebuilt. It was later completely restored by the Staff of Artakha. Ko-Metru was later abandoned along with the rest of the Matoran Universe after Teridax's death, and it's inhabitants fled to the surface of Spherus Magna.
