Irnakk was a myth created by the leaders of Zakaz to keep the rest of the Skakdi population in line. Irnakk was supposed to be an embodiment for fear in these myths and could make its target's worst nightmares come true. A version of Irnakk was brought to life in the Staircase to the Ignika's chamber known as Zone of Nightmares.

When the Piraka entered the Zone of Nightmares, Irnakk appeared and made the six Piraka's nightmares become real. Hakann's armor melted, Zaktan became a mere thought, Avak was trapped in a prison (his own body), Thok was attacked by his own animated creations, and Reidak and Vezok were stuck in a never-ending battle. Eventually, Zaktan conquered his fear and defeated Irnakk by causing it to fear death. After that, Irnakk simply disappeared, and the Piraka thus continued on their quest to steal the Ignika.

Powers and Equipment

Like the Skakdi species, Irnakk possessed the ability to emit eyebeams. These beams were capable of taking a target, transforming them into a mere thought, and transporting them inside Irnakk's mind.

Irnakk also the ability to make a being's fear seem real. It possessed a Zamor Launcher weapon in his left hand, with Skakdi skulls mounted on it. These Zamor Spheres were able to make its target's worst fears come true.

Being a create of nightmare, Irnakk's zamor spheres have the power to create realistic illusions of an enemy's greatest fear--so realistic the target can die from fright. He can also turn a foe from a physical being into merely a thought, and then absorb that thought into his own mind. Surrounded by the monstrous evil in Irnakk's brain, no being can survive with sanity intact![1]
