The Gukko Force, also known as the Windrider Cavalry, was a Le-Matoran branch of the Mata Nui Military. It was composed of pilots who flew Gukko, Kahu,and Kewa to defend Le-Koro from Rahi attacks. Each Gukko held two Le-Matoran: a pilot and a gunner. The gunner used a pair of disk racks. They participated in the Matoran-Rahi War, with Kongu leading the Force against the Nui-Rama. The forces of Rahi continued to increase with each passing wave, but the force was able to drive the Rama Nest away from the treetops, where their home was. It is unknown whether they stayed together on Metru Nui and Spherus Magna.
The Gukko Force was the second largest Matoran force on Mata Nui, second to only the Ta-Koro Guard.
Commander
The Commander of the Gukko Force was responsible for the defense of Le-Koro. Kongu was the leader of this force, while Orkahm was the deputy leader. The primary function of the Commander was to be able to quickly raise the Force and meet the Nui-Rama head on. The Le-Matoran and Rahi fought it out in the air, and Kongu organized his formations for battle. The Commander of the Gukko Force had control over all the Le-Matoran military. It is unknown who replaced Kongu after he became a Toa Inika.
The Commander of the Le-Koro Gukko Force was the highest rank possible in the Le-Koro Gukko Force.
