Undertow

Undertow is the Antitrix's cross-contaminated DNA sample of a Cascan[note 1] and Kevin's equivalent to Overflow.

Appearance

Undertow is much bulkier than Overflow, with his canisters and tubes filled with swamp green liquid in contrast of regular water. His skin is teal with his lower part and legs being darker. His orange arms are thermos-shaped structures with his grey hands having four lower parts around them and black scissor-like claws. He has black markings around his red eyes and his head has a grey growth with a black opening and red buttons on each side while his back and chest have grey protrusions connected by tubes.

Undertow wears the Antitrix symbol on his chest.

In The Greatest Lake, Undertow wore a hood similar to Hex's.

Powers and Abilities

Being part-Cascan, Undertow shares many of the same abilities as Overflow, mainly his hydrokinesis. However, due to the Antitrix's modifications made by Kevin, Undertow instead shoots green swamp water.

Undertow can produce large amounts of water to generate tidal waves.

Undertow's armored exoskeleton gives him enhanced durability against most types of damage. Additionally, he also displays enhanced strength too.

Undertow can breathe underwater with ease.[1]

Undertow can use his water to liquify a surface made of certain elements, like liquifying a surface made of dirt into mud to sink his enemies.[2]

Undertow can produce weapons such as whips using his water.[1]

By propelling himself with his water, Undertow can simulate flight.

Undertow can spew out murky water from his respirator, as demonstrated by AntiVilgax.[3]

Weaknesses

Being part-Cascan, Undertow shares many of the same weaknesses as Overflow.

Etymology

An undertow is a current of water below the surface and moving in a different direction from any surface current.

  1. ↑ 1.0 1.1 Duncan Rouleau initially stated all transformations in the Antitrix were "cross-contaminated" with other species.[DR 1][DR 2] However, the crew was just told that they are just "special messed up Kevin versions (or "Kevin-ified" versions) of [Ben's] aliens."[KT 1][KT 2] The merchandise also used similar language, such as "Kev-ified" to describe Antitrix transformations.[Playmates 1] Kelly Turnbull interpreted Duncan's statements as meaning "they're all getting little bits of DNA sloshed together, not necessarily two aliens spliced directly together."[KT 2]
