- 1961 - The Beatles play Lathom Hall, Seaforth, Liverpool and the Cassanova Club, Liverpool, this second performance their first one for local promoter Sam Leach[2]
- 1962 - The Beatles play the Casbah Coffee Club, West Derby, Liverpool[3]
- 1964 - After a train journey from New York City, the Beatles perform their first American concert at the Washington Coliseum, Washington DC
Recordings
- 1963 - In Studio Two of EMI Studios, London, the Beatles record ten of the fourteen songs that will make up their first album, Please Please Me—"There's a Place", "Seventeen", "A Taste of Honey", "Do You Want to Know a Secret", "Misery", "Anna (Go to Him)", "Boys", "Chains", "Baby It's You", "Twist and Shout"—as well as "Hold Me Tight", which was later re-recorded for release on With the Beatles[4]
- 1968 - "Hey Bulldog" recorded at Studio Two, EMI Studios; these sessions were filmed to produce footage for the promotional film of "Lady Madonna"[5]
- 1970 - At Studio Two, EMI Studios, Ringo Starr records "I'm a Fool to Care"[1]
- 1994 - The three surviving members of The Beatles secretly reunite to record additional music for a few of John Lennon's old unfinished demos, presented to Paul McCartney by Yoko Ono, with Jeff Lynne producing, beginning with the track "Free as a Bird"
