Linehalt (Japanese Version: Reinhardt (ラインハルト, Rainharuto^?)) is a fiend/knight-like Bakugan and Ren Krawler's Guardian Bakugan in Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders and Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge. He possessed a Forbidden Power to be cursed with as a Dark Bakugan. His Battle Gear is Boomix.

Linehalt partners with Ren. Bonded as tight as a family, they share both their memories and fierce dreams. Linehalt is an exceptional young warrior who has lived in the dark underground of Gundalia. Using a green stone in the palm of his hand, Linehalt absorbs and nullifies the attacks of his enemies. He is said to have a 'forbidden power'.^[1]

Personality

Linehalt was caring to Ren as a child and tries to help him whenever possible. However, Linehalt also is arrogant (taunting his foes) and likes killer instinct. After leaving the Twelve Orders, he becomes far more kind.

Anime

Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders

He first appeared battling Helix Dragonoid in Bakugan Interspace. In round one Drago uses Dragon Hummer while Linehalt dodged the attack. He battled head on with Drago using Bolting Vibra shocking Drago. Dan Kuso opens Pyrus Reactor causing Drago to gain more power. Drago then uses Galactic Dragon firing a blast at Linehalt who counters with Dispel Closer and sends Drago's blast right back at him. Drago uses Firem Tornado and rams into Linehalt causing him to lose the first round. In round 2, Linehalt uses Bolting Vibra again which Drago counters using Burning Reflector getting rid of Linehalt's blasts. He then uses Darkness Blizzard and gets rid of Drago's reflector. Ren then opens Freeze Enemy which causes Drago to fall down and get knocked out winning Linehalt the round. In round 3, Drago uses Dragon Hummer which Linehalt counters with Dark Saber slashing Drago. Drago then uses Power Glazer allowing him to gain more power and then uses Galactic Dragon firing a blast at Linehalt. He uses Twist Bow and throws his Boomerang at Drago which does not stop his fire. He uses Razen Breaker which still does no damage and Drago's fire hits him causing him to fall down. Then both Bakugan used their battle gear JetKor and Boomix causing an explosion. The overall battle ended in a draw because Marucho Marukura had to evacuate and shut down the battle arena because the battle energy was too intense, which would have destroyed the system.^[3]

Linehalt is mentioned in Revelation when Ren explains that the power that happened in his and Drago's battle took Dan to a world where Bakugan were fighting.

He tags with Helix Dragonoid and faces off against Sid Arkale and Zenet Surrow's Bakugan, Rubanoid and Contestir. In round 1 he gets attacked by Contestir's Bleach Out ability causing him to not move. Contestir then took him out with Shiny Monk. In round 2 he takes a hit for Drago when Contestir uses Hyper Skybolt causing him to lose the battle. It was shown that he purposely loses both rounds due to Ren's plan to cause Dan to lose and thus allow Sid and Zenet to take Drago. This causes Drago to lose the fight. However, Sid doesn't take Drago due to the battle being unfair. He is a real Bakugan, which is proven when at the end of the episode when he was talking to Ren about the battle. Linehalt later tells Ren that this battle was a successes due to the Gundalian's victory. Ren adds that the battle could have easily gone the other way.^[4]

After Ren got exposed as a traitor, Linehalt asked Ren what they should do now. Ren said that now that they couldn't get the Brawlers to join they would need to find new kids to help battle Neathia. Marucho called Ren to meet with him by using a code and they ended up battling Linehalt fought the digital Akwimos in a battle arena. He starts off using Razen breaker which Akwimos blocks using Heal blue. Linehalt uses Volting Vibra to break though Akwimos's shield. Akwimos uses spiral pressure causing Linehalt to tell him that his power level is still higher than his. Marucho opens battle realize but Linehalt uses ice Crasher to destroy the gate card and take down Akwimos thus winning round 1. In round 2 he uses dark saber, which Akwimos avoids by going up with his water. Right as he was about to attack, Akwimos uses shadow pincer and blocks his saber. Ren opens the gate card element merge which lets Linehalt take Akiwmos's energy. Akimos uses depth twirl which negates the gate cards effect and traps Linehalt in the water. After being attacked by Akimos in the water, Ren puts Boomix on him, causing Marucho to put Gigarth on Akwimos. Linehalt uses his battle gear ability only for Marucho to use ocean booster causing his power to come back and save him from Boomix's attacks. Akwimos used his battle gear ability thus taking Linehalt out. In round 3, he used dark Javelin causing Akimos to use shadow pincer to counter the attack. Akwimos striked at Linehalt who used Darkness blizzard to get rid of the pinchers. Ren than equips Linehalt with Boomix while Marucho equips Akimos with Gigarth. Marucho opens up power ditch causing his power to be stolen. Linehalt used his battle gear ablity while Akimos uses his battle gear ability. Akimos's blasts are stronger and they take Linehalt out causing him to lose the brawl. He was then alongside Ren when he changed into his true Gundalian form and revealed to the brawlers his true identity as a talking Bakugan which shocks Jake Vallory while telling Drago that the Gundalian's will be coming for him next time. Drago then learned that Linehalt lied about being a clone and called him out on it. Linehalt didn't care and retreated with Ren.^[5]

He retold the story of how he was the last of his kind, the Dark Bakugan, who were banished to the underground of Gundalia. It is where he met Ren as he was meant to be the next protector of Linehalt. He was against the idea of this as Ren was very afraid of Linehalt and it was not till he saved Ren from falling that the two eventually became close friends who bonded while underground. He also revealed that although he has a "Forbidden Power", he has no idea how to use it.^[6]

He battled Hawktor and Neo Ziperator tagging with Plitheon. Plithon starts off using fly slasher which Neo counters using Bow Arrow. Neo then uses a sheild to protect him from Plethon's fly destoryer and has Neo use the power of orb sheild to damage Linehalt and Plitheon. He then had a brief skirmish with Hawktor using Volting Vibra only for Hawktor to use Ninja defense wild wing Dance. Jesse Glenn puts on Vilantor Gear on Plitheon who uses it to cause major damage to Hawktor and Neo. Linehalt uses Rasen Breaker on Hawktor causing him to stop flying. Ren then sends out Boomix and equips it to Linehalt. Linehalt gets ready to fire at Neo and uses his ablity to attack only for Linus Claude to open up the Gate Card Explode which allows Neo and Hawktor to be safe. Plethon uses Ghost storm to break the sheild only for Neo to use power shaker protecting him and Hawktor and causing Plitheon to get knocked out of the battle. After Plitheon lost in round 1 he used Boomix to attack Neo's shield. He took out Hawktor, but Neo survived the attack and took him out with Metal Destruction causing him and Pliethon to lose round 1. In round 2 he and Plitheon put them on the ropes. Plethon uses slug tornado causing Hawktor and Neo to fall down. Hawktor uses Ninja defense wild wing dance blowing his teamate away. Neo then uses bow arrow on Plethon causing him damage. Ren puts Boomix on Linehalt again and uses his battle gear ability on Hawktor. Plethon uses Gravity mine and brings his opponents to their knees. but when Hawktor dogged his blast he attacked Linehalt with Ninja defense spiral twister causing him to be eliminated from the battle. but Plitheon won the brawl for the both of them with his Battle Gear by taking both Hawktor and Neo out.^[7]

Linehalt and Ren were sent to bring Jesse Glenn and Plitheon back to Gundalia under orders from Stoica. After finding Plitheon in the jungle he and Plitehon insulted each other causing Linehalt to want to fight him. Ren however told him to calm down. Later on, Linehalt battled Coredem and Aranaut tagging with Plitheon. He sits out for the first round in which Plitheon won by using his battle gear. During Round 2, Linehalt asks Ren if he is just going to sit there and watch. After Coredem gave his partner a hard time using Crush Arrow on him he joined the brawl and defended Plitheon from the attack. He then battled Aranaut by using Dark Saber to counterattack vector fist and then tried to throw his Boomerang glow at Coredem. Jake Vallory opened his gate card Gaia Enforcement causing him and Plitheon to fall down while Jake mocked them. He then used Dark Javelin to attack and Pliethon joined him to attack, but Coredem used Rock Hammer level 2 to take both him and Plitheon down into the ground. In round 3 he and Plitheon used Fly Slasher and Razen Breaker against the Neathian Bakugan, but it got nullified by Aranauts Light wave who forms a sheild abd blocks the attack. Ren then opened the gate card Ring Zero but Cordem used Change Exa and punshed the card to flip the cards effect causing him and Plethon to be trapped. Aranaut then used Aurora Impact and rams into both Plitheon and Linehalt and knock them out, thus the battle ended up in failure, no matter how hard Ren was brawling.^[8]

He tagged with Sabator to battle Aranaut and Akwimos. He and Akwimos fight one on one in the first round. He starts off by using Razen Breaker which Akwimos blocks using Heal blue. He then uses Gigarth ray which causes damage to his opponent and knocks him back. He then uses Dark saber attacking Aqkimos and slashing him which causes Akwimos to block it using Loop Shield. Both Bakugan pull out their battle gear. Akiwmos tells Linehalt that he should switch to a team with more heart. Linehalt however doesn't not care saying he perfers killer instinct. They both use their respective abilities causing Marucho to use healing up giving him more power. This knocks Linehalt out causing him to lose round 1. The next round has Sabator and Aranunat join the fight to help out him and Aquimos. everyone use their battle gear with Chompixx getting introduced. Their powers caused major damage, but the battle was cut short due to the Sacred Orb getting angry. he and Sabator were forced to retreat, or they would have been bounced around Dimensions. ^[9]

Linehalt has suggested Ren that they will reconsider their loyalty to the Twelve Orders as they have shown them none. but Ren refuses saying they have not come this far just to change sides and they must stick to the plan.^[10]

He battled alongside Rubanoid against Lumino Dragonoid. At first, he just brawled Drago one on one with Boomix, but had trouble with Drago's Explosix Gear. Rubanoid arrived to aid Linehalt, but all Bakugan ended up losing round 1. In the second round Dan brought out Jakalier for Drago to use causing him and Rubanoid to pull out there battle gear. Drago than departed and used his battle gear. The attacks all hit but him and Rubanoid lost despite it being 2 on 1.^[11]

He made an appearance where he and Ren betrayed Barodius by not finishing Drago and Dan off. He used Boomix to attack Dharak Colossus as well.^[12]

He continues the battle against Dharak where he took out Exokor Riptor and Smashtor before getting attacked by Dharak losing round one. In the second round he and Dharak appear evenly matched. But after Barodius taunted him to much he unleashes his Forbidden Power it is revealed that it threatens Neathia and awakens Dragonoid Colossus, the Sacred Orb's last defense, which defeats both Dharak and Linehalt, stopping his rampage but not before he severely damaged the Gundalian forces.^[13]

He battled against Aranaut to prove Ren's loyalty to the Neathians. The first round he battled Aranaut with both of them pulling out there battle gear. But lost due to losing energy from unleashing his Forbidden Power. Second round he switched places with Rubanoid to rest but still ended up losing at the end but was accepted by Fabia and became a member of the Castle Knights.^[14]

He attacked Gundalia's castle and battled against Krakix by using Darkness blizzard to get rid of Argon stream which Gill used to kill Fabia, Shun and Marucho. They then fought in a head to head clash. He used his dark saber to block Krakix battle gear ability Vicer Orax.^[15]

He putted on his battle gear to fight back and continued his fight with Krakix. After Dan Jake, Drago and Coredem got free, he retreated from his battle with Krakix and meets up with the rest of his team for a showdown against the Gundalians.^[16]

He battles Lumagrowl, Krakix, Strikeflier, and Lythirus alongside Aranaut, Akwimos, Coredem, Hawktor, and Blitz Dragonoid. He used Razen Breaker to attack Lythirus and throw him and Stoica back. They win the battle thanks to Drago's rage and retreat to Neathia to stop Barodius except for Fabia who stays behind to fight Kazarina.^[17]

He battled a hypnotized Plitheon with Valantor gear up in the sky. Plitheon used Slug Tornado, and he dodges the attack then uses Dark Javelin to attack him in the stomach. The battle went on until Kazarina's hypnosis wears off and Plitheon as well as Jesse, Lena, Phosphos, Zenet, and Contestir join the Castle Knights.^[18]

He also battled Phantom Dharak, Strikeflier, Lythirus and other Gundalian Bakugan such as Bee Striker, Ramdol, Impalaton, Spidaro, and Glotronoid alongside Rubanoid, Phosphos, Plitheon, Raptorix, Contestir, Akwimos, Hawktor, Coredem, Blitz Dragonoid, Dragonoid Colossus and other Neathian Bakugan such as Longfly, Splight and Merlix. Later they were joined by Sabator, Aranaut and Avior. He and Plitheon were shown behind a building. Later he and Phosphos defeated some Impalatons with ease by using Razen breaker and Gorgon viper on them. He then uses his sabers to attack Gundalian Bakugan. He fought against Phantom Dharak alongside Coredem, Akwimos, Hawktor, and Drago using Razen breaker on Dharak which caused no damage. After his allies were beaten he uses his saber to battle Dharak head on but was defeated with one hit by evil blow after he refused to use his forbidden power on Dharak.^[19]

He finally understood what his Forbidden Power should be used for and uses it to heal the battle-damaged Neathia. He also seemed to grow angel wings. Later after Barodious's defeat, he said goodbye to Akwimos, Marucho, and the other Bralwers thanking Drago for everything before he, Nurzak and the rest of the Gundalians headed back to Gundalia to form a new government.^[20]

Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge

Linehalt reappeared during flashbacks from previous episodes.^[21]

He fully reappeared, where he fought against Chaos Bakugan and Razenoid with Titanium Dragonoid, Taylean,Infinity Trister, Wolfurio, and Boulderon. He used Razen Breaker to attack and beat Flash Ingrams. They all lost to Razenoid. ^[22]

Linehalt was briefly seen using Bolting Vibra against some Chaos Bakugan.^[23]

Linehalt brawled multiple Chaos Bakugan along Aranaut and two Aquos Splights, making his final appearance.^[24]

Note: Break Garret was only shown in the original Japanese Version of Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Gundalian Invaders. It was deleted in the English dub due to being too violent for kids.

Physical Game

Linehalt was released in August in Wave 3. The Subterra version from the Target Combat Set is 800 Gs (with a Gold Boomix 80 Gs). In the anime, his wings are a different shape and his legs had another segment, both features being absent in the toy.

The Ventus version has 800 Gs and 650 Gs. The Pyrus version has 850 Gs. The Darkus version has 800 and 750 Gs. The Aquos BakuBlue version has 880 Gs. The Subterra BakuTriad version has 830 Gs. Another Subterra version has 640 Gs.

Trivia

On Japanese websites, his name is sometimes romanized as Reinhard.
Linehalt is partially based on the Manga character Devilman.
Linehelt's personality changes when he battles to be more aggressive, where as he is calm while in ball form.
Linehelt's toy ball doesn't have toes, but the anime ball does.
