Eye-Poke (目突き, Me-tsuki) is a special fighting technique.
Description
The technique is quite simple as the fighter simply have to use his two fingers to strike the opponent's eyes.
For the first time in the manga series, Doppo Orochi tried to use this move against Kiyosumi Katou in the restaurant, but he only wanted to scare him and stopped. In the anime series, the Eye-Poke was shown for the first time when Baki Hanma used this technique against Yasha-Zaru and destroyed his eye in the Childhood Saga (the anime series features the Childhood Saga first and the Underground Arena Saga later, unlike the manga).
In the first manga series, Takagi attempted to use the Eye-Poke against Katou, but he failed and ended with brutally ripped hand. In the Maximum Tournament Saga, Katou tried to use this technique against Yasha-Zaru Jr, but the ape's attack was faster. Later, also during the tournament, Doppo tried to use this move against Yuu Amanai, but he was stopped by Yuujirou Hanma who attacked Amanai first. In the second manga series, Katou used the Eye-Poke against Kaiou Dorian and gouged his eyes, but it turned out he did this in his imagination only.
