The Utero–Pod, alternately dubbed the "Womb–Bat", was a proto–Ovomorphic incubator and the initial stage of the Proto-Xenomorph life cycle. Created by a Proto-Hive after the living construct had achieved a sufficient foothold, the Utero–Pod produced the Naiad.
