Stephen Lang (born July 11, 1952 is an American actor, writer, playwright, producer and voice artist who unsuccessfully auditioned for the role of Hicks in the 1986 film Aliens. Notable films Lang has appeared in include Manhunter (1986), The Hard Way (1991), Gettysburg (1993), A Town Has Turned to Dust (1998), Gods and Generals (2003) and Avatar (2009). Aside from his work in film, Lang has had an extensive career in television and theater.
