South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is a country in southern Africa. To the south, it is bounded by the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans, while it shares land borders with Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe to the north, and Mozambique and Swaziland to the east. It also wholly surrounds the kingdom of Lesotho. South Africa has three capital cities, Pretoria, Bloemfontein and Cape Town, located in the north-east, center and south-west of the country, respectively.
