Ron Randall

Ron Randall (born November 22, 1956) is an American comic book artist who has provided interior art for several comic books in Dark Horse Comics' Aliens, Predator and Aliens vs. Predator lines; Randall is notable for having provided art for Predator: Concrete Jungle, the first Predator comic that helped make the line so popular, as well as its sequels Predator: Cold War and Predator: Dark River, all of which are now referred to as the "core Dark Horse Predator graphic novels" by the publisher.^[1]

Biography

Randall's first contribution to the lines began with his work as a co-artist and inker on Predator: Concrete Jungle, the very first Predator comic series in 1989, the first of the so-called Detective Schaefer series of Predator comics. Randall would go on to return as the lone penciller on its two sequels, Predator: Cold War and Predator: Dark River in subsequent years, making him one of the few artists to work on every installment of a multi-part storyline.

While never considered a particularly cutting edge comics creator, Randall is a well-known and consistent comics artist with various credits to his name whose career has shown a remarkable amount of longevity. An early contributor to Dark Horse comics with his creator-owned series Trekker which appeared in early issues of Dark Horse Presents in the 1980s, Randall would also go on to spend time as artist for the major comics companies Marvel and DC, perhaps most prominently spending time as artist on DC Comics' popular Justice League Europe series in the 1990s.

Today, he works as a freelance artist as part of the Portland, Oregon-based Periscope Studio.
