- "To kill the beast, you must know him. To know him, you must become him. I have become a monster to kill monsters. Sly. Callous. Duplicitous. I thought it was for revenge. I was wrong. It was for pleasure."
- ―Robert Sheldon (from Aliens vs. Predator: The Web)
Robert 'Bobby' Sheldon Jr. was a multi-billionaire industrialist and former member of the Ryushi ranching colony, Prosperity Wells.
After his family had been slaughtered on Ryushi by a rogue pack of Yautja led by Tichinde, Robert would dedicate the next thirty years of his life to eradicating the species. On an unknown planet in a desolate sector of space, Robert would lure Predator hunting parties using a distress beacon and the Xenomorph species as bait, before killing them.
Biography
Early Life
- "Monsters! [huff] They killed mom and [huff] dad! At first we couldn't see 'em, but then they killed my dog. I got away [huff] -- but they killed mom and dad!"
- ―Robert Sheldon to Machiko Noguchi (from Aliens vs. Predator)

Robert was born and raised on a ranch by his parents Bob and Sylvan Sheldon on the planet of Ryushi,[1] neighbouring the colony of Prosperity Wells. By the time Robert was 11 years old,[2] he and his family were suddenly attacked by a hunting party of Un-Blooded Yautja, led by the brash Bad Blood Tichinde, whom had recently usurped the position of Leader from a presumed dead Dachande. Bob, Sylvan and their dog, Dax, were slaughtered and Robert narrowly managed to escape with his life on the family hoverbike.
Crashing into Prosperity Wells, Robert was tearfully taken to the colony med center by the administrator Machiko Noguchi. He informed the group on the "monsters" that attacked and killed his family, before seeing a restrained Predator (Dachande) in the room, breaking down into a tearful panic.
Robert and several other colonists safely evacuated from the Prosperity Wells during the chaos of a Xenomorph infestation. It can be presumed that he was subsequently transported to a "friendlier location" in the 'Rigel' system (as described by Machiko).
Later life and Revenge plot
- "My intellect was my weapon. The cornerstone of my financial empire. The Japanese have a saying: "Business is war." And I meant business."
- ―Robert Sheldon (from Aliens vs. Predator: The Web)
The killing of his family would deeply scar Sheldon, and he would dedicate his subsequent life to eradicating the Yautja species in a wrathful campaign of vengeance. At some point in his life, Robert would go on to become a highly successful multi-billionaire industrialist. Using his vast wealth, he would hire mercenaries for several decades to track down and kill the hunters.

Soon, Sheldon was stricken with an unidentified illness that would subsequently mutate his back into a bulbous growth, with his mind, too, deteriorating. Rendered an insane husk of his former self, Robert would go on to reside himself in a secluded part of space, inhabiting an enormous orbital factory on an unknown planet for thirty years.

His body was subsequently confined to a large mechanoid spider that seemingly served as a life-support system. There, he would lure Predator hunting parties to the planet using a distress beacon with the promise of hunting Xenomorphs, in which he would thereafter unleash the creatures onto them, before detonating a tactical nuke and killing them all, before starting over in a 6 month cycle.
Not wanting to compromise his security, Sheldon would kill any unsuspecting humans that landed on the planet, transplanting their heads to mindless drones that served him.
Encountering the Herakles
- "The bait is set. I wait, patiently, for the prey to nip at the lures. Then tricking, teasing, I'll reel them in. However, occasionally something other is caught...Minnows instead of sharks."
- ―Sheldon (from Aliens vs. Predator: The Web)
Upon the crew of the Herakles landing and investigating Sheldon's planet for salvage, they were suddenly attacked by hordes of Xenomorphs. The group retreated into the orbital factory, where they were surprised by the interior's grandiose decor. Sheldon subsequently greeted them, and recalled his life-story to them, before revealing his intentions to have them killed.
Sole survivors Rebeck and Icart attempted to flee back to their ship, avoiding a large skirmish between Xenomorphs and a recently landed Predator pack. All of their efforts were futile, however, and Sheldon subsequently detonated the bomb, killing them all.
Personality and Traits
- "Your leaving will compromise my security. I can't permit that. Don't worry, you won't be wasted here. All my stray guests are put to good use."
- ―Sheldon to the crew of the Herakles (from Aliens vs. Predator: The Web)
The death of his parents, combined with his unidentified illness resulted in Robert being driven to a vengeful insanity. Sheldon himself wholly admitted that he had since shed his humanity in his quest for vengeance, losing his mind in his bid to rid the universe of the Yautja species. However, Sheldon still retained a twisted sense formality, and spoke in a polite, regal tone to those unfortunate enough to encounter him.
Due to his illness, Sheldon was confined to a ten-legged spider-like mechanoid that served as his method of transport, alongside a presumed life-support system. The mechanoid had bullet-proof glassing, and was capable of producing some form of sticky substance.
