Paluski was a member of the United States Colonial Marine Corps. He was part of a search and rescue mission sent to LV-426 aboard the USS Sephora in 2179 to investigate the disappearance of the USS Sulaco and its crew 17 weeks earlier. Paluski died early in the mission after Keyes blew himself up in the umbilical bridging the Sephora to the Sulaco.
Biography
Paluski was part of Rhino 2-1, one of the advanced teams sent aboard the USS Sulaco to investigate the ship and reinforce Rhino 2-3. When the internal explosion aboard the Sulaco occurred and his fellow Marines were injured, he tried to resuscitate Tanaka but was too late.
When Corporal Winter returned to the hangar with Keyes and the flight recorder, Paluski was holding off attacking Xenomorph Drones, he continued to do this while Keyes ran a bypass on the locked hangar door. After the door was opened, Paluski and the other Marines quickly got to safety behind it. They then moved into the umbilical connecting the Sulaco and the Sephora, it was here that Keyes blew himself up with an M40 HEDP Grenade after a Chestburster erupted from his chest. The subsequent explosion completely ruptured the umbilical and the atmospheric decompression pulled Paluski out to his death, despite his best attempts to hold onto the side of the umbilical.
Equipment
Paluski was outfitted with standard-issue M3 Pattern Personal Armor for protection; his armor was fitted with a TNR Shoulder Lamp attachment for illumination. He also had an M10 Pattern Ballistic Helmet, which he had strapped an Ace of Spades and Joker playing cards onto the side. He had customized his armor vest with a winged pig with a halo on the chest plate and the words "Fly piggy, fly!" below it. His armor also had several shotgun shells and a pouch strapped to the left side of the vest. Paluski carried several pouches on his waist around the belt. He also had a pouch on the left side of his left leg armor. Paluski was equipped with an M41A Pulse Rifle MK2 and an M4A3 Service Pistol.
