A neuroscanner is a diagnostic medal device, available on Type 337 EEV units, that consists of a a small retractable scanner, a keyboard, and a display screen.
Overview
While in use, a handheld keyboard operates a small retractable scanner above a cryotube and runs slowly along a track while it scans the subject below.
Trivia
- While the novelization of Alien3 claims that neuroscanners were "built into every cryotube," it is evident in the film that neuroscanners were actually built into the Type 337 EEV itself.
