Biography
Post-Requiem, Johnny Lewis had a string of legal as well as psychiatric issues. Lewis had been arrested three times between the years 2011 and 2012. He pleaded no contest to hitting two men with a bottle during a fight and was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. His second arrest was only six weeks after the first, with the second accusation being of attempted break-in. He once again pleased no contest. Due to his drug addiction and mental health issues, Lewis was considered a "threat" to any area he lived in according a parole officer.[1][1]
On October 30, 2011, Lewis suffered head injuries caused from a motorcycle accident. While further medical tests were recommended such as an MRI, Lewis refused to take them and later developed bizarre behavior.[2]
Death
Lewis was found dead on September 26, 2012, along with his 81-year-old landlady, Catherine Davis. Davis' body was found inside the villa and her death was investigated as homicide with Lewis as the suspect. Lewis' body was found on the home's driveway. [3] The villa itself appeared to have been ransacked. It was concluded that Lewis had broken into Davis' home and killed Davis and her pet cat. Reports indicate that the police were called after the neighbors heard the Davis's screaming.[3]
Lewis' death was ruled as an accident rather than suicide.[4]
