JCB was a manufacturer of colonial construction vehicles. The USCSS Covenant, a colony ship built by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation and sponsored by the newly–minted United Americas, carried several such vehicles aboard its terraforming module for use on the colony world of Origae-6.

Behind the scenes
More than twenty items of JCB–branded equipment, including JS excavators and Loadall telescopic handlers, were used in the 2017 film Alien: Covenant. Several of the vehicles first appeared in Alien: Covenant x Audi lunar quattro, a short video promoting the film ahead of its release. The machines were coated in a gold–hued material to lend them a more futuristic appearance.[1] JCB is a real–world company specialising in construction, agriculture, logistics, waste recycling, and power generation.[2]
