Demeter–2 was an agricultural world and a member state of the United Systems.
History
In 2217, Demeter–2 was struck by a nuclear catastrophe after an experimental reactor exploded, putting the twenty–four colonies and 1.4 billion lives in the system it supported at risk. To survive the disaster, its inhabitants required protection by way of an anti-radiation technology derived from the Xenomorph species previously under development on the planet Tobler-9.
Trivia
- While General March mentioned Demeter-2 by name within the pages of Issue #1, each subsequent issue mistakenly referred to the planet by the name Perseus-9.
