Chulonte

Chulonte[2] was an Un-Blooded Yautja and a member of Dachande's clan.

He took part in an initiation Hunt on Ryushi, led by Dachande, but was accidentally killed in it's early stages by Dr. Kesar Revna shortly before he destroyed the pack's shuttle.

Biography

Chulonte was a member of Dachande's clan aboard the Mother Ship Ne'dtessi. Dachande noted that Chulonte showed promise as a warrior, and was his next choice of opponent for Tichinde after the latter had defeated Mahnde in a duel.[3]

Dachande would go on to choose the planet of Ryushi to conduct Chulonte and the other Un-Blooded's initiation hunt. Unbeknownst to them was that the human colony of Prosperity Wells had established itself on the planet.

Landing and Death

Chulonte and his pack landed over the horizon of Prosperity Wells. After colonists Ackland and Jame Roth had acquired dead Facehugger specimens and subsequently brought them back to the med-center, Dr. Kesar Revna headed out to the location which Ackland claimed to have found them - Iwa Gorge. However, there he encountered Dachande's shuttle and was discovered by its inhabitants, and he attempted to escape on his hoverbike.

Chulonte had grabbed onto the hoverbike and attempted to kill Revna. However, the doctor had flown the vehicle close to a rock face, causing Chulonte's head to splatter against the formation, killing him.[4]

  • Chulonte's death in the novel was far more violent than the events depicted within the actual comics. In the comics, Chulonte attempts to grab Revna's hoverbike, but is rammed by the vehicle, and he topples over with a 'thud' - it is likely the fall did not actually kill the latter, meaning that Chulonte retroactively survived, in which case he would have likely instead have died following the Rhynth stampede that occurred later on.
