The basket plant is a species of plant found on LV-1201.
Overview
The plant is about a meter tall and shaped like a round basket, with a rozette of pointy leaves around the opening. It appears to be quite rare, only being encountered in the wild in the tunnel near the entrance to the Engineer ruins at the Zeta Site[1]. A Weyland-Yutani scientist had collected several specimens, which were kept in Pod 5 at the Forward Observation Pods but destroyed along with the Pod itself[2].
