Norbu

Airbender

Norbu was an Air Nomad who had absolutely no interest in truly committing to Air Nomad precepts or principles, and was a troublemaker and thrillseeker who did not fit in with others from her culture.[1]

History

Norbu never really bought what the Elders at her temple were trying to sell, and unlike most of her peers, she found Air Nomad teaching stifling.

Rather than embracing Norbu's uniqueness, the nuns who raised her chastised her, which led Norbu to more bombastic methods of rebellion, such as running cons, stealing, and generally causing chaos rather than whatever "balance" the nuns tried to shove down her throat. She also enjoyed trespassing and pulling daredevil stunts.

After pulling a con, Norbu was forced to go on a mission when the Southern Air Temple sent a group of Air Nomads to the Four Nations Summit & Technological Symposium to keep the peace at the request of Avatar Roku, including Bo, Chegu, Sherab, and Ema. Norbu considered the joke to be on the nuns, as she planned to enjoy herself after she was free of the temple.[1] After crates of meteorite ore were stolen from the Fire Nation, Taqukaq tasked the group with finding the thief before it was too late.[2]

Personality

Norbu was wild and acerbic, and did not fit in at all with many of her peers.[1]

Abilities

Norbu's airbending style incorporated her roguish demeanor, and she would toss herself bodily to trip and push others. She was also skilled at attacking her foe where they were weakest or most off-balance.[1]
