Chukagnak

Waterbender  Neutral

Chukagnak was a young woman from the Northern Water Tribe who embraced a life of piracy, and became one of the leaders of a Fifth Nation splinter fleet.[1]

History

Chukagnak was born in the Northern Water Tribe. Like all female waterbenders of her tribe, she was only allowed to become a healer, but her healing abilities were poor. After being arranged to marry a man she hated, she left home before the trappings of tradition could swallow her, becoming a pirate in the Fifth Nation.[2]

After leaving home, Chukagnak lived by her own rules, and respected those who did the same, as long as they did not get in her way. She became an oddity in the pirate world, as not many from the Northern Water Tribe turned to that way of life. As commander of her own fleet, Chukagnak did not permit those under her command to engage in slavery, but as a member of the Fifth Nation, she had to work with many enslavers.[2]

After the Fall of the Fifth Nation, she commanded a Fifth Nation splinter fleet at odds with the other splinter fleets. She sank several ships filled with valuable cargo, but had to escape before they could retrieve it.[1]

Personality

Chukagnak loved the little luxuries in life, whether they came in the form of silky pillows, extravagant feasts, or exotic birds. She did not care what others thought of her, but quickly tired of disrespect, and had no qualms with throwing repeat offenders offboard.[1]

Abilities

Growing up, Chukagnak was only allowed to learn healing, but her ability at the art was very poor. This contributed to her desire to leave the Northern Water Tribe.[1]
