Oedipus was the son of King Laius and Queen Jocasta.
Oedipus was abandoned in the woods after his father, King Laius was told he was destined to kill his father and marry his mother. This was proclaimed by the Oracle. King Laius was afraid of this prophesy and had a servant abandon him to die only to be discovered by by Jason, Pythagoras and Hercules when they were hunting for food in the woods. Jocasta couldn't live with the decision her husband had made and sent Oedipus to live with her uncle. He was eventually smuggled out of the city safely by the trio and taken there where he was given the name of Oedipus by his new guardian. (Twist of Fate)

- The baby was given the name "Oedipus" because of a swollen toe.
- Oedipus was played by twins in the episode.
