Vertical Arc (バーチカル・アーク Baachikaru Aaku?) is a collaboration strike arte exclusive to Kirito and Eugeo in Tales of the Rays.
Arte Description and History
The first hit is a diagonal slash from top-left to bottom-middle. As the sword approaches the floor, the user quickly readjusts their wrist and performs another diagonal slash from bottom-middle to top-right. The combined trajectory of the two hits looks like the letter "V". This arte is derived from the original Vertical Arc, a 2-hit One-Handed Sword category Sword Skill in Sword Art Online.
In Tales of Arise, Kirito performs a similar move, more in line with the portrayal in the original source material.
