Mahag Saar, the Valley of the Four Winds (四方の風集う国 ミハグサール?) is one of the five Realms of Dahna in Tales of Arise. It is a desolate, expansive hilly land once ruled by Lord Almeidrea Kaineris. Some call it the "Valley of the Four Winds" after the raging winds that batter the land.
As evident by the state of the people, Almeidrea's rule proves to be cruel and petty. So much so, that most of the Dahnan people are left with nothing but hatred for the Renans, especially with Dedyme, leader of the Dark Wings resistance.
When Almeidrea uses this to her advantage, hollowing half of the Dahnan population, the party chases after and defeats her. Even though her threat is no more, the deep wounds left in her wake will take time to heal. Thankfully, the winds that blow across the hills seem to be cleansing the land of its deathly aura, and ushering a new start.
Known Locations
- Niez (ニズ?) - Capital City of Mahag Saar. The ruling lord is nowhere to be seen- instead, hollow cheers of triumph echo ominously from burned-out ruins. A year after Almeidrea hollows half of the population, humanitarian concerns lead to the admission of Renans to vacant areas, causing tension.
- Aqfotle Hills (アクフォトル丘陵?) - A vast expanse of land that acts as a waypoint between the various regions of Mahag Saar. The region bears the scars of past skirmishes between the resistance and Renan forces, while Dark Wings standards fly triumphantly in the breeze.
- Este Luvah Forest (エストルヴァの森?) - Deep in this forest lie the half-destroyed ruins of an ancient Dahnan structure. It should be empty, yet some say strange noises and scream can be heard emanating from its walls at all times.
- Adan Ruins (アダン遺跡?) - A network and Dahnan ruins stretching across hilly terrain. Abandoned by their original inhabitants, only zeugles are found lurking within their walls now.
- Adan Lake (アダン湖?) - A great lake situated in the south of Mahag Saar. In happier times, a bustling town once flourished here thanks to the abundant fresh water supply, but since the Renan invasion the area is a mere shadow of its past glory.
- Hidden Wharf (隠れ港?) - A subterranean wharf that doubled up as Almeidrea's shipyard. She has since left with her troops in tow, leaving only slaves and a smattering of cargo freighters behind.
- Mobile Fortress Gradia (移動要塞クレーディア?) - Almeidrea's preferred base of operations. A huge warship constructed using the best in Renan technology (and most likely, riches stolen form other realms).
- Tower of the Wind Spirit (風霊の塔?) - A soaring tower near Mount Dhiara. Its spiral staircase reaches into the heavens, the density of wind astral energy increases with the climb.
