The Embleo (エンブリオ Enburio?) is a key item in Tales of Luminaria.
Description
The Embleo appears as a small, jade gem. It is an artifical crystalization of highly concentrated mana that can increase the mana output and arte effectiveness of its wielder, if it is transplated into a host body, as well as amplify a certain ability. It is only available to Aedis Knight Academy students who pass a compatibility exam. Their development is a classified military secret unknown to even their users. However, it is stated that having more than one embedded can cut away one's lifespan, such as what happened to Kuze in the Habakiri Incident, after implanting several into his body.
The training to wield the Embleo in battle is considered by Celia Arvier "pure murder". Once fully embeded, the Embleo may also create a "tattoo" depending on the wielder. For example, Maxime Hasselmans's Embleo takes the image of a wasp, whereas Yelsy Tw'elteu Huainaz'jin's is a flower, and Leo Fourcade's is a flame.
Gameplay
When executing a mystic arte, the wielder of an Embleo will command it to "awaken", causing it to shine brightly.
