Burning Wave

Burning Wave (焔の波動, Homura no Hadou^?) is Alphen's Boost Attack in Tales of Arise.

Arte Description and History

Alphen sacrifices a bit of HP to use the Blazing Sword. He then performs a flaming slash upward, engulfing the area in front of him in flame, before slamming back down, causing the flames to explode. Without the Blazing Sword, Alphen uses a weaker variant called Iron Blade (鉄剣, Tekken^?) that doesn't sacrifice any HP. In Tales of Arise, these artes will down almost any enemy at the cost of not inhibiting their special traits, as the other Boost Attacks do. In Tales of the Rays, this arte is his Fire-elemental reward mirrage arte.
