Virgil

"Speak of the Devil and he shall appear."
—Virgil

"Virgil" is a known ally of the late Dante and a member of the Ninth Circle.

Biography

Early life

When Ricardo Diaz joined the Quadrant, he became aware of the existence of the Ninth Circle and came in contact with Virgil to make a deal with "Dante" about the Longbow Hunters.

Deal with Diaz

Virgil meets Diaz

When A.R.G.U.S. used the Ghost Initiative to get information on Dante, Virgil was contacted by Diaz about Dante's location. When Diaz arrived with members of his team trying to make another deal, Virgil ordered them to kill all members except Diaz because Dante wants to deal with him personally since the Longbow hunter aren't cheap. After a brief fight, he escaped through a window after warning Diaz that he will receive the worst punishment.[1]

Stealing Archer

Virgil was about to steal a phone that contained valuable information with a mole in the secret service but he was interrupted by Oliver Queen/Green Arrow and John Diggle/Spartan thus he managed to escape but he leaves the tech behind.[2]

Virgil shows up at Smoak Tech searching for the Archer program with a few other men but Felicity Smoak and Alena Whitlock appears and threatened him. Virgil managed to take Felicity's gun but soldiers appear and kill all of his guards and he runs away with Archer.[3]

Turned against Emiko Adachi

Beatrice

Later, at Palmer Tech, Virgil disagrees with Emiko, as the Ninth Circle was supposed to only gain profit from destroying Star City, and that the Circle is concerned over her leadership. Suddenly, the Ninth Circle arrives, and their leader, Beatrice, declares that Emiko's vendetta has led the Ninth Circle away from the path. Virgil is on Beatrice's side. Beatrice then commands the Circle to kill Oliver and Emiko. After Oliver and Emiko gain the upper hand, Beatrice orders Virgil to detonate the building. Then, Virgil and the Circle manage to escape.[4]
