The Man

"The Man" was a mysterious man who tasked his three child brides to find him a fourth.

Biography

Early life

In 2009, during his wedding night, the man murdered his spouse, explaining that the Devil himself ordered him to do it. Years later, he kidnapped a girl every six months to complete the Blood Moon Tetrad cycle, murdering Caroline, Amberly and Waynetta. During the last of the victims, it turned out that detective Dupree had found his trail, who was soon caught by him, murdered and mummified.[1]

The last cycle

As the night of the fourth Blood Moon appeared, the man entered the room where three girls were sleeping, who he ordered to prepare for his grand wedding. Vesta Whitney, who ran away from her mother, was wandering near his house, and she was to be the fourth victim. The conversation of the girl with the ghosts of previous victims was watched from afar by a man from the car, who was accosted by a security guard of a nearby object. In order not to show himself, he told him that his battery was dead and he could not move on. The bodyguard decided to help, but after a while he was stunned by a man, and then began to stigmatize him, adding to the torture set, marking him with the symbol that had been used by the previous victims. Soon the man returned home, where Vesta, dressed in a wedding dress, was waiting for him. The girl was surprised and horrified by the whole affair, and her fears intensified when he took her to the devil's altar. Therefore, she started to run away, and the torturer chased her. When he managed to catch her, he saw the man with the gun and started to run away, but a bit further he was stunned by Zed Martin with a shovel. Vesta was taken to safety, and Detective Corrigan chained the criminal. Initially, he planned to hand him over to the police, when Constantine explained to him about the bestialities he had committed. He did not want him to spend only a few years in prison for everything he had done and to be released again, so Jim released him, ordered him to flee and shot him after a while, ending his miserable life.[1]

Behind the Scenes

  • In the DC comics, "The Man" was a member of the Damnation Army. A petty sorcerer, he killed girls by strangulation, and married their souls. When he wanted to take his fourth wife, Gemma, he was stopped by John Constantine and Zed. The Resurrection Crusade showed up before the police did, and burned down the house, possibly with the knocked-out man still in it.
  • Philip Dido was a stunt double for J.D. Evermore in the role of The Man.
