Dr. Rafael Rodriguez is a resident of Gotham City and doctor of Gotham General Hospital.
Biography
Early one morning, Dr. Rodriguez was assigned to do a checkup on Ryan Wilder and, after reading her preliminary file about her tests, went to speak with her personally; he found her with Angelique Martin, who had accompanied Ryan to the hospital. When Dr. Rodriguez asked Ryan about the origin of her wound, she claimed it was a spider bite. Dr. Rodriguez merely prescribed painkillers, explaining to an upset Angelique that Ryan lacked insurance, so she couldn't afford blood tests for her medical case. Angelique ordered Dr. Rodriguez to have Ryan's tests done because the former would pay for them herself out of pocket.
After receiving Ryan's blood results, he was baffled by what he found.
That evening, Dr. Rodriguez called Ryan and informed her that he needed to conduct further tests because her "spider bite" was marred by radiation that he could not explain.[1]
