Irma Sayres was born in Smallville, Kansas.^[1]

At some point, Irma joined Edge EnerCorp and became Morgan Edge's assistant. Irma was one of the subjects who underwent X-Kryptonite and became a host of a Kryptonian consciousness. She was the only one who showed no sign of rejection^[2][3] due to her being originally from Smallville.^[1]
