Elle Scantlin (born 1991/1992) is a woman who attended the opening of The Hold Up.
Biography
Early life
Elle Scantlin was born in Gotham City and raised in a wealthy family. Her family used to hire Crows Security when she was around 12 or 13[1], with one agent being specifically assigned to be her bodyguard and accompanying her to school every day. Growing up however, Elle started to despise the Crows as a symbol of oppression in Gotham; she saw them as a form of unfair dominion for those who can afford their services over those who could not.
Elle was seemingly a rebellious teenager, committing some minor crimes and building a record. She eventually straightened her life out, becoming a veterinarian.[2]
The Hold Up opening
In 2020, Elle attended the opening of The Hold Up, where she met and hit on sensually-dressed Sophie Moore who, after some hesitation, started to flirt back with her. Elle got mildly peeved when she learns that Sophie works for the Crows, though this didn't stop the two queer women from further bonding; their conversation soon turned in respect of Batwoman, with Elle admitting that she took a personal liking to the leather-clad vigilante. Sophie corrects her stating that the outfit Batwoman garbs herself in was not actually leather - for it would not be so resilient to gunshots, if that. Noting Sophie's in-depth knowledge regarding the suit, Elle inquires if her Crow duties ever got her into a physical altercation with Batwoman, while daringly closing the distance between herself and Moore, both holding each other's gaze. A slightly jealous Kate Kane interrupted, suspecting Elle to be Nocturna. She seemingly offered Elle and Sophie a drink, and then intentionally cut her finger with a knife to see Elle's reaction. Instead, Elle almost fainted from her fear of blood.[2]
