Batbike

The Batbike[1][2] is a Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron used by Batwoman as her mode of long-distance transport during her vigilante activities in Gotham City.

History

After the Crisis, Batwoman started to use a world-class motorcycle equipped with several weapons for long-distance travel around Gotham City. The bike was designed and created by Luke Fox in order to avoid rising suspicious due to Batwoman going around with the same bike Kate Kate possessed. He gave her the bike a few days before her birthday; however, it was a mere coincidence.[1]

Beth and Luke at Twin Pines Inn

Riding the batbike, Batwoman assaulted five members of Crows Security so that Mary Hamilton and Luke could escape them with Beth Kane as Beth looked like Alice who had a kill-order on her. Later, Kate told Luke to use the motorcycle to further evade the Crows. He used it to transport the alternate Beth to Twin Pines Inn, but, as they discussed the batbike, August Cartwright shot and killed her.[2]

To evade capture from the Crows, Sophie Moore and Batwoman rode the Batbike.[3]

Riding the batbike, Batwoman intercepted Miguel Robles as he tried to leave Gotham City; after he shot at her, Batwoman ejected Robles from his motorcycle with a grappling hook from her motorcycle.[4]

After receiving a call that Parker Torres was kidnapped by Hush, Batwoman used her motorcycle to drive the wrong way through Somerset District to intercept the van he was driving.[5]

Alice had the keys to the Batbike in an abandoned subway car and retrieved them when Evelyn Rhyme told Alice that a physical keepsake of Kate's past was necessary to have her memories returned. Alice told Dr. Rhyme how Kate's motorcycle represented freedom to Kate and that whenever she wanted separation from her problems or a clear head, Kate would ride her motorcycle.[6]
