J.J. Moto was a human detective in Station Square. He was hired to solve the mystery of who stole the city's Chaos Emerald and destroyed Silver Sonic II. The evidence suggested it was Sonic the Hedgehog, though in actuality it was Shadow. (StH: #98)

- Writer Ian Flynn has stated that he'd love to bring Moto back and use him, but says that "Random human detective" is kind of a hard angle to work with since J.J. isn't directly related to G.U.N., the comic's current main source of human characters. (1)
