Sheep

This article is about a species. For the smug dog villager, see Shep.

Sheep (羊, Hitsuji) are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. Their wool can vary in color and style but all sheep have large, curled horns.

There are a total of sixteen sheep, of which eleven are female and five are male. Four are snooty, two are smug, four are normal, two are sisterly, three are jock, and one is peppy. There are no lazy or cranky sheep in the Animal Crossing series thus far, though Curlos was cranky prior to New Leaf.

Wild World and City Folk only had female sheep.

Baabara and Vesta are the only sheep to appear in every game in the series.

Prior to New Horizons, they wore their shirts as scarves around their neck rather than on their torso, making them the only villager species to not wear a shirt on their torso.

Most sheep are Aries in reference to the symbol of Aries being a ram.
