Xiaomi Corporation is an electronics company based in Beijing, China. It is the second-largest smartphone manufacturer globally as of 2021, only behind Samsung.[1] Xiaomi is known for their Android-based operating systems MIUI and HyperOS, which run on their smartphones. The company also owns the Redmi brand.[2]
History
Xiaomi was founded on April 6, 2010 by it's current CEO Lei Jun, vice chairman Lin Bin and five other associates,[3][4] four months later, on August 16 of that same year, the company created MIUI.[5]
