Kanae Itou (伊藤 香苗 Itō Kanae) is a secondary character of Amagami SS and a minor character of Amagami SS+ plus. She is one of Rihoko Sakurai's closest friends who will be the one to win the Miss Santa contest if Haruka Morishima didn't join.
Appearance
Kanae has short brown hair that has a small yellow hair clip on the left side and brown eyes.
Personality
Kanae is a cheerful girl and a supportive friend to Rihoko Sakurai to whom she is always giving advice.
Etymology
- The name Kanae means "fragrance, fragrant" (香) (ka) and "seedling, sapling, shoot" (苗) (nae).
- Kanae's surname Itō means "that one" (伊) (i) and "wisteria" (藤) (tou).

- It is unknown if she joined the tea club but can be seen at certain arcs with Rihoko when the seniors graduated
